But it will be interesting to see how few posters on C-D, who've have spent the last few years making fun of Michelle Obama's weight, will come to his defense.

As a liberal, I like Christie. He's not crazy or uneducated and he seems to know how and when to compromise---seems to know his mind and acts accordingly, not just on the hard party line 24/7. But I worry about that changing if he accepts the backing of Koch brothers, Meg Whitman, and Roger Ailes. Will he remain true to his self, or just become their puppet?

Christie as always said the timing isn't right for his family. (Four kids between 8 and 18) and I can see where that would be a concern for any parent.
Hubby and I were talking about the surgery thing just this morning. I have also heard (again) he is still not convinced he won't run. Who knows? It is amazing, you and I never agree on anything and now we are. I am probably as far to the right as you are to the left and I like him...As for staying true to himself and yet accepting the backing of some, of course there will be bending, that is part of the game, but will he stay true: for the most part he reminds of the type that will do what he wants, say what he wants and will be a good Pres for doing that.

Default Very interesting

For the first time in recent memory, we would have a morbidly obese candidate running for office, from a party that has been causing this country to bleed to death 11 years running now, a roly poly Conservative who cares more about bonbons than Civil Rights, the middle class, national heathcare, or preventing the rich from getting richer while everyone else goes to hell. Thumbs down on this Cheney-like widebody.

Christie is part of the PROBLEM.

I didn't find it, Chris Hayes referenced it on his show this AM. I am just sharing the find.
