Yeah, we always check in with Democrats so they can tell us who our respectable (and balanced?) nominee should be. Any suggestions?

Romney is the best you have, but if you're looking for a respectable candidate, you should take another look at Obama. He's easily the cleanest, most scandal-free guy in the race, and his policies will keep a temporary setback from turning into a bloodbath for the middle class. It's not too late to join the winning team, Laura.

Clean, scandle free, it appears that way, but it certainly hasn't helped him be a good President. Lack of experience has killed him. Had he been a governor or something like that prior to running it would be different...He has no leadership ability in my opinion.

The thing about lack of experience though is that this can be changed. We elected him despite his lack of experience because the Republicans put up an unelectable ticket.

Scandal however doesn't go away.

Obama is a shoe-in for re-election unless the GOP regains its sanity and puts Romney up for election - unless they put a nutjob up as VP candidate.

This post is what one would call whistling past the graveyard at midnight.

Logic tells us that Gore should have won in 2000 in a landslide, peace time, pretty good economy, VPs almost always win. Florida shouldn't have been an issue.

Saying Obama's re-election is "Guaranteed" is fool-hearty.

I'll say again, 13 months is an incredibly long time in politics. Neither party should feel their candidate is a shoe-in, nor a sure loser.

Another thing to remember is that political polls are always crafted to support a predetermined point of view. To support their supposition. All you have to do is to review which media sources consistently use and tout only one or two pollsters. Key word is tout, because each media outlet may sight other polls, but they will focus on the one that most meshes with their viewpoint. If you are intellectually honest, you will see this, whether the outlet is left leaning or right leaning. Frankly, I cannot think of any media source that is middle of the road today.

As for all the cutesy names I see assigned to candidates and parties. Give it up. It does nothing to elevate the discourse. I suspect if the internet weren't so anonymous, there would be many ashamed.
