Thankfully Perry seems to have been vetted and won't be forced onto the GOP as the hand-picked candidate. The days of the establishment picking candidates (at least in the GOP) are over IMO.

I'm not a big fan, but Romney is most like going to get the nod unless Chris Christie jumps in.

Regardless, no sitting Prez has faced the economic numbers that the country will be facing in the fall of 2012 and got re-elected. Obama is toast. The problem many of you libs are forgettting is the mushy middle isn't paying attention now to these debates. They'll start paying attention once the GOP has a candidate and that individual will have plenty on their side to make their case against 4 more years of this administation.

Cain/Santorum! Cain will deliver! (you don't want to know what's in the crust, however).

Obama is a shoe-in for re-election unless the GOP regains its sanity and puts Romney up for election - unless they put a nutjob up as VP candidate.
It is wonderful when the Democrats tell us who we should put up...And in case you didn't know this (obviously you don't) the VP candidate rarely has any influence on the ticket. He/she can help but never hurt, no matter what you might think.

Another thing to remember is that political polls are always crafted to support a predetermined point of view. To support their supposition. All you have to do is to review which media sources consistently use and tout only one or two pollsters. Key word is tout, because each media outlet may sight other polls, but they will focus on the one that most meshes with their viewpoint. If you are intellectually honest, you will see this, whether the outlet is left leaning or right leaning. Frankly, I cannot think of any media source that is middle of the road today.

As for all the cutesy names I see assigned to candidates and parties. Give it up. It does nothing to elevate the discourse. I suspect if the internet weren't so anonymous, there would be many ashamed.
I just read an interesting column today about running and the way we handle our election. Kennedy didn't even announce until Jan of 1960 and Nixon the following week: I remember Ford didn't announce until late in Sept or sometime in the early fall anyway. Yes, 13 months is a long way and many things can change between now and then. Things can change in the next month for that matter. We might see a couple new intries or a few drop outs.

He wants a socialist society and will stop at nothing to get there. Fortunately there are more good people in this country, than there are crooked and ignorant people, so he will never win re-election.
We will take our country back from obama the corrupt, and all of his foolish followers... YOU,.....are finished...!

Sorry but all of the GOP candidates are clowns. They sure do make for good entertainment and laughs though.

Balanced Individual - LibSpeak for Democrat in GOP clothing.

NOW Obama can concentrate on the job at hand? The president's job is to run the country, not get re-elected. The fact that you think it's a priority, shows just how insane the left is.

Yup, squeaky clean. Well, except for gun-runner, solyndra, Libya, and the ECONOMY.

I'm not Laura, but I would never join the communist party.
