They've definitely painted themselves in a corner with the crazy stuff but they'll rally around Romney come next March and he'll make a good run of it. Might even win.

Barack Obama is basically the status quo and still holding ground for some reason.

People like Romney and Newt Gingrich aren't even explaining the problems at hand, all they've done are talk about how how badly Obama has handled things. On the other hand, Rick Perry and Herman Cain seem to sound more ridiculous every time they open their mouth. This "anything but Obama" mentality of pushing Republicans into the 2012 race is not really going to work out, but I guess it's too late now.
Christie has been in office for what...two years? He is to blame for historically high taxes and crime in NJ????

I just heard Newt (in person) lay out his Contract for America for the 21st Century. That has nothing to do with how "badly Obama has handled things"...with the exception of passing Obamacare.

Bottomline: you appear to be observing and now commenting with a very closed mind.

high crime and taxes? This could be true, I do not live in NJ so I am not one to judge that. In fact, no one, not living there could understand why this is. I would imagine it has something to do with a couple of very low income, high crime areas in a state that isn't all that big. Give the governor time. From what I have read, he is doing a great job..and yes, most Republicans will admit: anyone but Obama, like it or not, there are Democrats that are saying the same thing.

This was not the case when he was in office as governor. yes, there were heavy crime areas, like any state with a lot of urban living, but overall the crime rate wasn't that high and the taxes were not that bad compared to some places.

We will take our country back from obama the corrupt, and all of his foolish followers... YOU,.....are finished...!
Our President does not want to create a socialist society. He does not want to destroy our country, and he has done more than any serving Republican to keep things going in our most difficult period since the Great Depression. Good honest people all over the country elected him fair and square, and will re-elect him again because he is the only one who hasn't turned his back on our problems.
He could have, but he refused to just say no and let the United States sink like a rock.

America is not full of crooked or ignorant people. Those people are here, but they are not the majority of us, never have been, and never will be. We are by far all honest, no matter what party we follow, and most of us try to inform ourselves as best we can. You speak only for yourself with those comments.

The Republican Party had better heal it's huge split this time, or it won't last long. All the moral issues in the world don't account for much when people are out of work. As long as RINO hangs around as a tag for which Republican is acceptable or not, the party will continue to fail nationally, over and over again.

If you want to see a real scum sucker, just look at our former President. He wrote the book on sucking scum.

nmnita, RR raised CA taxes as governor many times. US taxes were also raised during his WH tenure, via aggressive loophole closing he pursued.
