Paul will probably gain as many supporters as he loses over his comments but he lost me.

Lol it's so hilarious seeing conservatives on here wanting to throw away the Constitution because of one terrorist. You people should be ashamed of yourselves. You cry because Obama is violating the Constitution, yet it's ok under certain circumstances to throw it away. You know what it's called when the government officially does that? Martial law, ok? Like it or not, put the knee-jerk reactions away and realize he's a U.S. citizen

I think he will lose more than he gains Most people who are supporting him or on the fence will remain there, some on the fence will say "no way" but few will decide his comments are positive unless they were strongly supporting him in the first place. This, of course is just my opinion.

Maybe we should just kill all the alleged murderers in our prisons that we assume are guilty (before their trial)... wait... what are you saying? Some have been proven innocent? Really? Well, I guess that is the point of a trial then isn't it?

People can't be conservative and not believe in a fair trial. That is against the fundamentals of the constitution.

There have been some societies in history that have followed this strategy... to name a few: Nazi Germany, Soviet Russia, Communist China... yeah we should really be more like them-- these people arguing against a fair trial are saying that we should institute a brutal dictatorship. That is insane.

Ron Paul needs to see a doctor, I honestly do not think this man is mentally sane anymore.

Oh I know. Strictly believing in the Constitution is cause for mental psychosis

So they didn't kill him in Yemen after his trial, yet, we don't even charge him, and go straight to killing him?

What's next? Someone is going to try and discredit the Yemen courts, because they are crazy? Come on, someone actually use reason and logic to figure this out.

Notice, never once did I, nor do I think Ron Paul said that he didn't deserve to die. Never once did we say that the accusations were wrong. We both question why the government can claim anyone to be a terrorist without actually charging them of any crimes. Yet, so many run to defend that he did commit the crimes of treason and espionage. Where are the charges?? If you actually use that noggin that rots away in your skull, you will read between the statement, and not be mislead into thinking it's about Ron Paul defending this man's innocence. This is a statement about following the very same laws that you swear to uphold. Even in a war, you have to follow the rules.

Those who were never going to vote for Ron keep saying.. "OH THERE IT IS, There is your reason to not support him, I know I'm not going to(because you never were going to.)" Okay, you take off the 'I'm rooting for this horse or that horse' blinders, get past the Ron Paul statement, and get to the actual facts here. Did the government legally kill Al-Awlaki? And right now, even without any declared war, without any charges, no, they did not. Did they kill other absolutely innocent civilians and create MORE enemies for us in the process? Yes! And that is what we need to prevent. Do it legally, which isn't really hard to do at all(aka: stop acting above the law and blaming everything collateral damage, as well as the ignorance of Americans who don't understand war.)

I can not believe that people are fine with our government assassinating a US citizen without properly going through the courts. This is setting a dangerous precedence.

They could have simply revoked his citizenship. I mean seriously, he's an alleged enemy of the US, and they couldn't even do that much? Really?
