maybe an eye check is in order. Seems like this current Captain has pulled us a little up out of the water that the previous captain sunk us into.

Even Stevie Wonder could see that

Lightbulb Any Romneys Ever Served In Uniform?

Of course not, silly!

Romney and sons have been born into a family of millionaires.

They don't go to war. They send you and your kids off to war.

Default Mitt Romney - Draft Dodger

America had a few men escape the draft by going to Canada and other countries. Then there were those with money who could buy their way out of serving their country. Mitt Romney was one of those. While Main Street America sent their sons and daughters off to war Mitt was safe and sound here in the US rooting the war on as America military folks died. Doing what "Flounder" Romney does best he switched side when it suited him. BTW, none of his sons served in the military either. Oddly Mitt has no problem beating the war drum. Why should he? It won't be him or his children who have to go to war.

A big part of the reason I'm a former Republican is because of the chickenhawk takeover of the GOP. Romney's just another in a long line.

Don't be hard on Mitt. During Vietnam, the poor soul had to immerse himself in French!

You have a general election choice between two guys with pretty much zero family military history. No Obama has served. No Romney has served anytime recently, but may have back in the 1800's. Mitt's father George was a big part of organizing the automobile industry to convert over to a wartime economy making aircraft, tanks and such. So truth be told he was probably more valuable staying home.

Bill Clinton was the first US President with zero military experience. Now you have a choice between two guys who have zero military experience. Seems to be the direction of things. It was bound to become more the norm after the WW2 generation started dying off and newer generations started taking their place. Only a tiny fraction of Americans served in Korea, Vietnam, the first Iraq War, the second Iraq War and Afghanistan. The vast majority of Americans are not military veterans. Probably just have to accept it as a non-requirement going forwards.

Perhaps if you're going to make a whole thread about this, you should be outlining what he did during the war and how he allegedly dodged the draft.

Pasting a link to someone else's opinion is worthless. What's your point here?

We didn't get some lift, until after January 2011. and the Mid term elections came on-line.
