But his grandfather and his uncle did on his mothers side. They were both World War II vets. I commend them for their services to our country, especially on Memorial Day.
Unless somebody comes up with some research about Mitt Romney's family that proves different; that's a hell of lot more than Mitt Romney can say.
So Obama should get credit,[or blame],for the actions of relatives?
I don't really care what candidates relatives have or haven't done,it has no bearing on them.
Just curious, have any of Mitt Romney's relatives ever served in the armed forces of the United States? I'm aware that none of his sons have seen fit to bother, but what about others in his lineage?
So What! If serving in the Military was a requirement to be a good President, then Carter & Bush Sr. would be up there near the top of the list.

Any of his relatives? I am sure some have but what difference does this really make? How many of Obama's relatives have served or others for that matter?
I despise Mitt Romney but since when should Obama be seen in a different light because someone in his family served in the Armed Forces before he was even born? He didn't do it and I don't care if every one in his family has served. He doesn't get a Gold Star for that.
Also, let's not forget about Romney comparing his sons working on his campaign to people serving the country 4 years ago when he ran for office.
You despise Mitt Romney? Isn't that a little drastic for someone you don't even know and at this point doesn't have one thing to do with your life in any way? I can't take a thing someone says seriously wheny they make such dramatic overstatements.

Then I guess you feel the same way about posters who express virulent hatred for President Obama?

I'm not sure any of us are in any position to know how someone has or has not impacted someone else's life.
Maybe she has a relative who lost a job due to Bain Capital.
Maybe some vestige of Mr. Romney's policies while governor in MA impacts her life now - being an MA resident and all.
And maybe, like myself, she simply has an intuitive distaste for the man that is beyond explanation, much like the irrational hatred so many have for President Obama.
Well, OP, as you've no doubted already figured out, those who claim to support Mr. Romney have no real interest in answering questions about him or his policies.
I tried to get a simple answer regarding his education plan in another thread and all I got was insults and deflection.
Their basic argument for supporting him seems to come down to 'Because I said so."
