I'm tired of this BS response from his defenders on that, it's as strong as a 100 pound weakling So, if someone who's Latino, called Alberto Gonzales "Gonzales the Magic Ese" and Ed Schultz played a song like that with a Mexican sounding man "singing it" that would be ok?
You just got owned, if you think that's ok, so just go away
Huh???? You don't address anything I said. Do you label David Ehrenstein as a racist or no? Is this a case of PUI? I hope so.
Are most Republicans racist? No.
However, do most racists follow the Republican Party? Yes.
Racism, doesn't mean, "I'm not burning crosses, I"m not a racist!".
Actually...I don't think that democrats should pat themselves on the backs here. There are plenty of racists in the Democratic party, although they're less open about it. After all, we did hear "We're voting for the [n-word]" from a few folks, and Obama did get the endorsement of Louis Farrakhan.
The key difference, as far as the last election, is that Obama did everything he could to run away from Farrakhan, while Romney openly embraced Donald Trump. The latter was a low point - John McCain and GWB would have happily denounced Trump, and McCain in particular was clearly happy to see some sort of equality hit the US.
Republicans would do well to follow McCain instead of Romney in this.

That's a very good point, and it's not only about the deafening silence re: racism, but also about the silence of mainstream Christians, of GOP moderates, and even the Press... which tacitly "enable" the extremists, by not speaking up against the hate, the bigotry, anti-intellectualism and intolerance, and just the outright nuttiness that's casually allowed to pass as the "new normal" these days!
BTW, Reagan and the Southern Strategy arguably invented the best "enabler" strategy of all, by simply coming up with "code names"... like states rights, welfare queens, forced busing, uppity, thug, and the like. "What, me a racist for saying those things...?!"

The GOP is ranting and raving about about how Obama is a bad person and he's doing a bad job, etc but what they need to do is look in the mirror and improve themselves.
The term was used by SPIKE LEE, and used to MAKE FUN OF PEOPLE that believe that.
No, the phrase was invented by Lee to point out a story cliche of a poor black worker (janitor, chauffeur, etc.) who has amazing advice for a white protagonist on how to solve all of his problems. And the song was produced and aired by Rush Limbaugh, and featured a clearly racist caricature of Al Sharpton ranting about how he hates president Obama for no realistic reason.

No again, the phrase was invented by lefty LA Times writer David Ehrenstein. It was parodied by Rush Limbaugh in a song that was no more racist that the originial (and brilliant) article by black, gay writer Ehrenstein.
Really, what do people get out of making s**t up out of whole cloth??? Just PUI? I hope so.
Spike Lee, as despicable as he is, had nothing to do with this.
Come on beenhereandthere. Really?
Where are the racist Federal Drug policies coming from? For sure not any Republican President this time or did Obama change parties?
The President has the power to get rid of the racist war on drugs on the federal level.
Whats worse, calling another person a racist name or backing a racist policy? Is it name calling because names hurt and robbing people of their liberties doesn't?
Why discuss policy when one can play the race card, right?

You speak the truth, especially when the GOP doesn't offer policies that differ by very much. Only the hand picked winners and losers change.
What did Obama say to the Repubs shortly after his first Presidential win? "It's our turn you had your chance".
Save yourselves, it's your only hope. Unless of course you are one of the hand picked winners, then it's a party.

Federal Drug Policies come from? Err, that was from the conservative God who called, indirectly, called black women welfare queens, Reagan.
