How does that argument even make sense in your mind ????

I dont believe in the whole owned by Wall Street mantra, but to speak specifically on Ted Cruz, he doesnt run for re election for 2 years, and yet raised 18 million last year. Large chunks of it coming from finance companies.

Just look things from Lindsey Graham's perspective, and the perspective of most conservatives and their constituents.

Compared to Ron Paul, Obama is a pretty good guy.
Compared to Rand Paul's foreign policy, Obama is a pretty good guy.
Compared to Bernie Sanders, Obama is a pretty good guy.

Republicans are scared of the "wing nuts" (the Pauls are included in that category) and they are perfectly content with living with people like Obama and now Hillary, who won't step on their toes too much in contrast with people like Sanders, Warren, etc.
So the problem is that our total security and wealth is at risk: everyone's, the average, the top, the middle, the bottom.

The source of the most unprecedentedly wealthy society in all of human history has been a free people, making their own decision for their own benefit, in a mostly free market.

The notion that central planners could somehow improve on this outcome is laughable on its face, but the Warrens and Sanders of the world aren't laughing--they are serious.

I care about my position, but the systemic threat is a far greater concern. Obama has hurt the system, has hurt employment, has hurt incomes at every level (except the 1%)....and the newer crop of wingnuts would do far more damage,

I hope so. Unlike Hillary, Sanders is a real progressive. It's time to pull the Democratic party back to the left. A debate between right-of-center Hillary and left-of-center Sanders would help.
