but many of his supporters on here say he will win, aren't they doing the same thing? No, there is no way anyone can say, with certainty who will win. I do happen to think it is unlikely he can win. Polls, which I have to admit, I don't take too seriously right now, show he has no support almost none from blacks, Hispanics, Jews, independents and women. How can he win without a little help from these groups? Oh, if you are asking where I got my information, it came from Bill O'Reilly last night. I don't know how accurate it is, but Bill seems to support Trump.

What in the heck are you trying to say? Are you saying those who do not support him are all Tea partiers or are you saying The Iraq war, which the congress supported was caused by the Tea Party which, btw was not a household word in 2001 and what does any of this have to do with Trump winning or losing?

I will blame Trump and his people, if it even comes to that...and I'm sure that Trump will take full responsibility, it's what leaders do.

The basis of the question shows the mindset of the left...blame someone else!

That being said, what makes you think that pant suit will even be the nominee? What if she is indicted?

On several of the most important issues of our time, Donald Trump is not any different from Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders. However, there are some differences that will cost Trump a general election. For starters, the majority of Americans, including Republicans, support a pathway to citizenship for those here illegally. Even those who take a hard line stance on immigration do not call Mexicans rapists, and almost no one polled supports deporting 12-20 million people. People oppose that idea because it would violate the 4th amendment rights of legal immigrants, force law enforcement to profile folks, and it would cost our country a minimum of $140 billion. Secondly, Donald Trump's call for tracking all muslims in the United States, and his call for shutting down portions of the internet, violate our constitution. The Republican Party has been the party concerned with constitutional principles, Donald Trump's nomination would give that issue to the Democrats. Trump's past comments about women also hurt him, as do his comments stating that a protester at one of his rallies deserved to be beaten. Add that to his suppression of a journalist at a press conference and you have a candidate made to lose a general election. Democrats and independents won't accept his stance on immigration. Republicans won't accept his stances on many economic issues. Members of both parties and independents reject his views on women and minorities. Donald Trump would not just lose the election, Hillary Clinton would win 38-40 states and probably around 60% of the popular vote.

Trump is the anti-Ron Paul. Ron Paul hasn't supported socialized medicine, economic stimulus, and bailouts of the banks.
Absolutely correct, but many of the Trump supporters are in denial of that fact and believe the polls are skewed. Trump win or lose will do worse among Hispanic voters then Romney did. A loss once again will again raise the talking point from the GOP "we need to improve our outreach with Hispanic voters".
There is always that chance that if and when Trump does secure the nomination he may soften his position on immigration by talking more about his touch-back program which seems to be flying right over the head of his supporters.

What? Why would an individual voter "take responsibility" for a candidate losing???

*Before any of you say "Trump won't lose", show me evidence to show that Trump could win. ANYTHING.
What makes you think Trump would lose the General Election? Look at the other likely choice: Hillary Clinton? Enough said.

He has very high unfavorables. Sure he has his share of fans/followers, but there are a significant portion o our population who want nothing do to with the guy. He's an embarrassment.

What will be an embarrassment is when Queen Hillary doesn't become King! All that money and influence down the drain!

Talking about very high unfavorable: What do you think America thinks about politicians and lawyers that are politicians? Let alone royal lawyers that are politicians! Why don't you do a poll?

Desperate? I'd say that screaming "TRUMP WILL WIN" from the mountaintops, yet providing any evidence that suggest a Trump win, is the desperate act.
