While I agree with him, I was hoping these two would play nice so that Bernie would have an amplified voice in the Senate and ties to the President but his might be burning bridges instead.
Most of my fellow Americans don't want to admit that their president and most of the republicans and democrats in Washington don't represent them. If they did that would mean they'd have to come to turns on what an un-democratic nation this is. And that would mean they couldn't criticize other non-democracies without being called hypocrites
I'm starting to think both he and Trump are punking us and desperately looking for an exit strategy.
He just killed his chances of trying to swing the superdelegates. Most of them are very loyal to Hillary for lots of support over the years. This is not the way to convince them that they should dump her in favor of him.
And I think this will galvanize her supporters in the upcoming closed primary states.
First he lied when he said Hillary Clinton called him "unqualified" in his speech. I watched her LIVE. She was being very gracious when she was asked about all the questions Bernie couldn't answer in the New York Daily News interview. She said he needed to do his homework and added that she'll leave it up to the voters.
So he only used the "she said it first" excuse to draw boos from the crowd and to attack her. The Sanders campaign is desperate and is now using Trump tactics because Sanders was never and is not now a Democrat. When I listen to him speak, he's not just attacking Hillary Clinton, he's attacking the party.
