Bernie meets with the Pope, Hilary flies out to party with the Cloony's. Very telling, and very offensive at the same time.

Would you Clinton sour grapes recognize the fact that the Vatican invited Bernie, it did not invite Clinton, Trump, or Cruz?
It's not sour grapes about the fact that Bernie spoke at a conference. It's sour grapes that people like you keep spreading disinformation and don't get called on it - including by the media which in some cases repeats these lies.
Bernie was not invited by "the Vatican" - the Vatican spokesman made that clear. And he did not have a "meeting" with the Pope in the sense that they actually had a planned encounter that included some time to discuss substantive issues - the Pope himself made that clear.
Yet the lies continue. And yes, that's frustrating given that Bernie has racked up lie after lie after lie in this campaign and still avoids full scrutiny on this.
While the invitation to attend did not come directly from his Holiness, the Vatican did indeed invite Bernie along with others....do you just think these people decided to show up on their own?
It was the Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences, which is not the same thing as the Vatican. Is it an honor to be asked to speak there? I don't know that many people outside of academia are familiar with it but yes, I would think it is an honor. Unfortunately, it was misrepresented that the invitation came from the Pope, and that is not accurate. Yet that false narrative continues.
I really don't see a significant in Sanders meeting with the Pope. The Pope is just a man who speaks for something whose existence is questionable and who can't speak for himself.
And when it comes to religion, Clinton leads among likely New York Democratic primary voters who are Protestant (62 percent to 35 percent), Catholic (61 percent to 36 percent) and Jewish (65 percent to 32 percent).
The Pope has extended an invitation to Sen. Sanders to visit the Vatican and attend a conference on "social, economic and environmental issues."
The meeting will take place next week.

This was a complete fabrication on Sanders part. First of all, he NEVER received an invitation from the Pope. He requested to attend a meeting on climate change.
When he was pressed on that issue, since Pope Francis was in Greece at the time, Bernie said he and his wife were able to catch 5 minutes with the Pope.
No pictures? C'mon, not even a cell phone video or selfie? Well, the Pope doesn't seem to recall meeting Bernie Sanders. Is the Pope lying? If he said hello, as he does to everyone who walks by the Pope, that certainly isn't the same as having an audience with the pope or even a brief discussion.
