"Three of the five most Catholic states are voting in the ten days following Sanders’ meeting with the Pope. New York is 37 percent Catholic, making it the fifth-most Catholic state. Connecticut, Pennsylvania, and Rhode Island — all voting on April 26 — come in at #4, #9, and #1 on that list, respectively. Should Sanders’ meeting with the Pope go well, Catholic voters could be the linchpin to Sanders’ success in those states.
New York has 291 total delegates available, while Connecticut, Pennsylvania, and Rhode Island have 313 total delegates at play. Should Sanders win in these states, it would bring him within striking distance of Hillary Clinton."
Perhaps a condemnation is in order for Sanders' support of abortion?
The Roman Catholic Church condemn abortion ?
How redundant is it necessary to get ?
Bernie Sanders is one of many being invited to this conference

The current Pope is willing to work with those who he believes
have contributions to make, even if those contributions are imperfect.
Bernie has made statements in his speeches lauding the work of Catholic
social teachings and movements, such as Dorothy Day. No, they don't
agree on abortion or same-sex, but that fact bears no repeating when
there are many other bases of agreement.
Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders reached out to obtain his invitation to the Vatican and showed “monumental discourtesy” in the process, a senior Vatican official said.
“Sanders made the first move, for the obvious reasons,” Margaret Archer, president of the Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences, which is hosting the conference Sanders will attend, said in a telephone interview. “I think in a sense he may be going for the Catholic vote but this is not the Catholic vote and he should remember that and act accordingly -- not that he will.”
Sanders told MSNBC earlier on Friday that he had been “very moved by the invitation” to the Vatican, adding: “I am a big fan of the Pope.” Vatican Academy Criticizes Sanders
Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders says he would "very much like to" meet Pope Francis when he travels to the Vatican next week but he has not received an official invitation from the Catholic leader.
It's "not yet clear," Sanders told journalists in New York Friday, saying this pope is someone he has "enormous respect for in terms of the mental consciousness that he's raising."
Who knows. Maybe he will be granted a private audience with Francis, maybe not.

"stay tuned"..
Interesting.
So far only Bloomberg is reporting this. Not saying it isn't valid, but it is a strange statement.
It's not like they had to allow him to attend.
If anything, it seems like it would have been easier to refuse his "discourtesy."
Of course, The Vatican is rife with political operatives, many of whom would like nothing better than to negate the current Pope's agenda and that would likely include spreading negative press about those who support him in any fashion.
We'll see how it all plays out.
