I would say they might be attacking him if they weren't reporting those stupid statements that keep coming out of his own mouth. Geez. They're not making this stuff up.

Default The Press is Constantly Attacking Trump

Poor lil' Drumpf.

He wants the press to cover his every word, then gets his knickers all in a knot when they do exactly that.

I always kinda liked this one.

Its relentless attacking for no reason, this guy is trying to help us help ourselves, he's a true patriot who's trying to clean up this mess and all we can do is hurl lies and unprovoked hate against him?

shame on you if you're one of the haters, and yeah, you know who you are.

Yea..... Trump is a liberal New Yorker who has convinced you otherwise and made a living off the very things he is railing against....

He got his from illegal immigration and working the court system.... But hey... He is a patriot.... Now that it is convenient.

Both conventions are about attacking the opposing party and candidate.

Trump could have ignored Khan or acknowledged the grief of this and all Gold Star families.

Had Trump chosen either one of these alternatives, Khan's 15 minutes of fame would have come and gone.

His reactions create sensations which inevitably leads to Trump portraying himself as the victim. His campaign staff makes the rounds and attempts to perpetuate the victim hood myth and rationalize Trump's reactions due to his lack of political experience.

Most people do not have political experience and yet have enough common sense, compassion and empathy to not criticize a Gold Star family, let alone doing so publicly.

Regardless of who or party, the sitting POTUS is the most publicly criticized human on earth. The 24/7 hour news cycle, Internet and social media amplify the criticism and this will certainly not diminish going forward, no matter who is elected. Right now is just the warm up and there is always heat in the kitchen.

Trump needs to be scrutinized by the press more strenuously than any candidate in our lifetimes (and I'm 66). Why?

1. Because he has no (that's ZERO) previous experience in elective office, so we have no background on which to judge his competence in elective office. Name another major party candidate for the presidency in our lifetime that we could say that about. Perhaps Eisenhower...but then again, he saved Europe (and us) in World War II.

2. Trump gives no details about almost any of his plans. Can you tell us DETAILS about his huge wall? Can you tell us details about why and how Mexico will pay for it? Can you tell us details about how he's going to close down American to Muslims (heck, he can't even settle on how extensive the ban will be or how long it will last himself). About all he says for most of the things he's gonna make are things like, "It's gonna be great". "It's gonna be huge." That's not good enough.

3. He need to stop addressing polls (of course, he usually only addresses the ones favorable to him; or dismisses the ones that are not), forget talking about the machinations of his campaign, and start talking policies.

4. He clearly has at best a shallow knowledge of foreign policy. That needs to be questioned. After all, he's the one who could start a nuclear war.

Question Hillary. Of course. But we know her. You know her -- damn, you post negative crap about her in thread after thread.

The Orange One is the big unknown.

Really find it odd that so many Trump supporters see him as a victim.

He treats the press like garbage. Calls them names, calls them dishonest. Bans them from covering his events or has them thrown out if they don't kiss his butt. Oh, except for Roger Ailes, the sexual predator--Trump thinks he's great.

I think they have been more than fair to a bully who has treated them rudely during interviews and with only disdain and no respect whatsoever when not being interviewed.

They gave him more coverage and publicity than he deserved during the primaries.

And yet, poor Donald Trump is ever the victim.

Oh man.
