At the beginning of this I said that Nutty Don was not properly vetted during the primaries. He has still not shown his tax returns. He has audio as well as video in which he bragged about what he did and could do to women.

The GOP failed to properly vet Nutty Don. All because they were afraid to lose a group of voters who backed him. People who only knew him from his TV show.

The GOP needs to rethink its method of running primaries.

What do you mean, "properly vetted"? What was their normal procedure? Obviously they had conversations with him and asked him to sign a loyalty pledge. They made a choice. And, bringing up the "women" thing, I suspect you support good old corrupt Hillary and how she went after the women involved with both voluntary and involuntary sexcapades with her husband, actions versus words. People say a lot of things when having private conversations. No one died.

Actually, you are wrong. I have never seen the TV show as we shut off cable TV 8 years ago. The GOP was up the poop creek without a paddle. They threw the last two races to the Democrats by running candidates that everyone knew had no chance. They had wanted Bush, but he couldn't get out of the starting gate but because they were so confident that they could buy Bush the nomination, Trump came into favor as they continued to scramble to try to make it happen for Bush.

The old GOP has passed away. It was past time. Now, it is the turn of the old Democratic party to go the same way. Someone must infiltrate the Dems and clean up that party aso.

Sour grapes won't do our country any good. Vote or don't vote. "Crying over spilled milk" accomplishes nothing.

Yeah, I'd say that's an understatement, OP.

In today's business world he would not be hired without a proper back ground check. Which today includes a credit check and for some a social media check.

Nutty Don has not shown us his credit check or his back taxes. His media statements make him unhireable.
During the primaries he was never vetted by his opponents.

No the GOP failed again.

Wrong. The GOP (centrist Republicans) will remain strong into the future. What it comes down to is that they learned their lesson the hard way about allowing a malcontent faction to eviscerate their basic principles. They won't let that happen again.

Your best choice, as a Trumpist, is to form your own Party that will focus your special interests. Call it the Independent Party, the Tea Party, the Reform Party or whatever. We need a strong 3rd party in this country. Don't get me wrong, I totally disagree with your principles. But we do have a common interest in preventing anarchy. (Of course there are some anarchists would would probably disagree).

You are right on the mark, OP. President Obama discussed this very subject in a speech the other day, and it explains how Trump came to be perfectly.

The GOP created this monster and now have to figure a way to save themselves from this mess.
