You mean like the C-D libs who are already predicting what Trump is going to do after 1/21/17 ?

As far as opposition, Trump and the GOP own the House and the Senate and soon will own the SCOTUS. Libs have no chance of pushing their agenda ...

Its really too early to tell. I'll comment this.

-If trump blows it up considering the Republicans have the House & Senate...there is hell to pay.

-Right now, there is no decent Democrat candidate for 2020. Hillary is toast. Bernie is too old. Only Democrat I like & respect is Jim Webb. He will be a bit old by then. Of course anything can happen in 4 years.

If he does get two terms and Pence becomes as popular or more popular than he is now, then the GOP could control the White House for 16 years. Romney? Maybe Secretary of State now and VP for Pence.

That's a bold prediction to make this early in the game, considering how close this election was, and his historically low favorability ratings heading into his first term. There's really no objective basis for this prediction that I can see...

Incumbents are typically hard to unseat in general, that's about the only reason I can think of at the present moment.

I would say the same thing to the OP as I would say to all the Democrats exclaiming how Trump is a failure as President. Let the man take office and let's see what he does.

I'll believe it when I see it after four years of scrutiny when he's 74 years old.

Trump/Pence 2020!
Pump the brakes little Trumpette, this guy and his emerging band of rich anti populist wall streeters, alt righters, climate deniers, war mongers and extreme right wingers will be lucky to survive four years much less think about anything beyond that.

Trump himself will be a walking conflict of interest target by the Dems and every other ethics group as soon as he is sworn in. Given his big ego and overall tendency to bend the rules it just a matter of when, not if, he steps in it, and puts his Presidency and any chance of a second term in serious jeopardy.

Just saying!

Trump will have huge advantages in 2020:

1) a sitting President has money advantages and domestic and foreign events that benefits him.

2) Trump won't have a challenge in the primaries of 17 people or the Republican establishment against him like 2016, while the Democrat party will have a huge fight and a long primary just like Romney had in 2012 where he came out beat up while Obama was fresh and had his war chest ready.

3) the media won't be so bias like they were in 2016 against Trump. They will be bias but not so much, they got burned in 2016 and lost lots of credibility and in 2020 they will be not be so obvious making the pathway for 270 electoral votes a lot easier for Trump in 2020.

its hard to beat an incumbent President unless the party is divided and the economy is really bad plus the Democrat party doesn't have a deep bench.....Sanders is too old, Warren is not a national candidate and too far to the left, Kaine? Governor Cuomo? NYC Mayor? Chicago Mayor?

The math & exit polls does not favor the democrats. Trump could've won this election even if he is down by 10 million popular votes as long as he nabs the states that are easy to win.

Like Trump said on the Apprentice your customers could lose loyalty very fast if you can't maintain a good relationship.

The democrats failed to keep states they've owned for 2 decades because they only give attention to the elites in Silicon valley and Madison Ave.

It's very likely depending on the progress that Trump & GOP senate could do that these states will remain Red for 2 decades.

Because the Dems have never lost this much representation in all branches of power before, it's unprecedented.

I can see Trump going to war with the media for the next 4 years. He doesn't need the media so much. He can go directly to the public with YouTube and Twitter. He can cut media's access to him. That will make them whine like a baby and they will report Trump's message thru his YouTube vids and Twitter
