See, this is why you guys lost the election.

Most or many want something different than that though. As noted here, provide it and people will vote.
Actually, 66 million people were fine with the alternative, millions more than wanted Trump. "Most" people do not agree with your opinion that no decent alternative was provided. The weirdness of the Electoral College and interference by a foreign power put Trump into office notwithstanding the votes of those who voted in the 2016 election.

Keep telling yourself that and Trump will win again.

In looking at the two running for this seat, I would have done, like I did in 2012 and voted for the Libertarian.

It's a lesson to both parties that you no longer have a lock on most voters.

Didn't someone (earlier in this thread) mention that there were some exit poll reports that some people jumped from being 'on the fence' TO Lamb because of Trump's speech during his visit ?

They're calling it for Lamb but it's not official yet. I wouldn't be celebrating just yet.

New excuse for Saccone loss.

Nevermind, they're saying he won by just over 600 votes.

Crazy.

They're saying he ran as a conservative.

If more conservatives supported unions I'd vote for them too.

I think Trump winning again is virtually impossible. The 2016 election was an aberration and a wake-up call to American citizens to take elections more seriously. The question is whether Trump survives for an entire term. He is becoming increasingly unpopular and it will become obvious to even himself that he can't win reelection. The Republican Party will also ensure it has potential candidates in place to compete with a Democratic challenger.

It was considered impossible when he won.

He will finish his term. His approval ratings are as high or higher than Obama's was. If the (D)'s find even a decent candidate they should win. Run another from the corporatists wing and all bets are off.
