Everytime someone comes out against voting rights, they get jumped on. Answer these two questions:

1. Why if the prefrontal cortex (reasoning, rationality) is not fully developed until age 25 should anyone under that age be allowed to make big decisions like voting?

2. Why should someone who pays no taxes have any say whatsoever in voting and consequently how other people's money will be spent?

So are you saying folks on disability and woman who are tending to family instead of working should not have voting rights?

Because if so I think a lot of Dems might be willing to switch positions for minute. That would definitely have thrown a couple of Senate seats their way in recent years...

If at 18, folk are deemed to have the mental capacity to join the military (as I did), then we're have the mental capacity to vote as well.

Because this is America. AS for paying taxes, do you realize everyone pays taxes in some form. As for under 25, what about the men and women who put their lives on the line for us daily, shouldn't they have a right to vote?

I understand what you are saying. I have strong feelings about voter ID for instance: to me it is a MUST, but this does't mean I want to see the age limit or how much you pay in taxes to be eligible to change.

Why not limit voting to income levels while we're at it? Make it illegal for anyone who makes under $250,000 a year to vote.

Isn't that the threshold to be a Republican today?

These restrict voting threads remind me of nasty old men screaming at the kids to stay off their lawns.

If you are anti-voting rights, then you are a traitor to this country.
