The brand of socialism the dems advocate for, is a form of retaliation against success. It has never been... or ever be about helping people. Helping people is the "sell", not the product. The product is control and power.

If you want to help people be more successful and ultimately, more content... you promote opportunity, limit intrusions in their daily life and give everyone a fair shake. Reward work by letting people keep more of what they earn, what a novel concept. A little dirt road logic goes a long way, dontcha know.

Oh yeah ... and teach people how to fish.

Maybe he means the type of capitalism that existed before FDR took office. Keeping Cool With Coolidge even after just shy of a century, I suppose. Even that assumes he supports overtime pay for workers working over 40 hours per week, The Federal Reserve's existence, TR's Trustbusting and such.
