They are united in opposition to Trump, but they are divided when it's comes to action.
Remember the #1 issue for ALL politicians is getting re-elected. A lot of Dems won't jump on the crazy train because of #1, they want to get re-elected and the mid-terms will be here before you know it.
In 2009 the dems passed Obamacare and then crushed in the mid terms. Its a certainty even if they do nothing GOP voters will be motivated in 2022. The party out of power always does will in the mid terms. So vulnerable dems are going to be at risk even if they pass nothing.
Lots of areas that are not far left that democrats agree on and won't hurt their reelection chances. $15 minimum wage, bringing back Obamacare, raising taxes, etc will not hurt them in 2 years. They are very popular with the dems. The more extreme stuff like the green new deal or proposed gun legislation probably won't happen anytime soon.
There is MORE to being a Christian than just being Anti-abortion.
IMO, by voting for them "one raises a glass" in approval of that belief.
