If State legislatures have unfettered discretion to draw the maps, it also gives the state legislature the unlimited discretion to decide how to award the electoral votes in the presidential election.
This will in effect grant absolute, total power to a minority that has dreamed of the day when they could put their boot on our necks. Anyone who has the idea that overturning Roe was the main goal is living in a dream world.
