Well if you look at the OPs, it's usually the same 4 or so people posting all the random anti-Obama threads.

Well, I can honestly say I'm not guilty of using McSame or whatever. I think namecalling of candidates like that is childish.

Yet if we call Barack Hussein Obama by his full LEGAL name that he was given at birth, you get offended, claim it's inappropriate to use his middle name, and call us racists or xenophobes.

Where's the logic?
sticks and stones, but names don't really bother me

Talking McCain is fair game

How you can defend this man who is following in Bush's wake, I can't imagine. The names he is called are all deserved. As others have pointed out, Barack's middle name is usually only used as a highlight to make him a suspected Muslim. And being a Muslim isn't necessarily a bad thing - there are many peaceful, God-fearing Muslims around the world. However, for some reason, connecting Barack with being a Muslim brings out bigotry in a lot of people. If he were a Muslim, he would have no chance of running for office. Muslims should be just as free in their religion as Methodists, but that is a fight we haven't had yet in the U.S. We have had civil rights battles and got laws on the books - but changing peoples minds is a different thing. Racism is still alive and well in our country.
