I think Colin Powell didn't run because he knew he wouldn't carry the south and didn't have the stomach for the BS.

I have lived in the south. I've heard the racial BS. Racist card - well the KKK still has a very large following and people are judged by the color of their skin not their intelligence in the south. I do not hear the same slant outside of the south.

Why is there listing for how the white women are voting? Hillary would have carried states that Obama will not.

no, it's a common complaint for someone who doesn't like the homeless on every corner as they are in asheville.

I wouldn't exactly say NC is a liberal state, considering it was home to the homophobe/disgusting racist Jesse Helms who many applauded for his racist views.

What does her being a lesbian have to do with anything you said?

how many first time black voters do you think obama will get? are they racist? how could someone voting against him because of color be a racist then? I know blacks vote democrat, so do most women.

So, the "liberal" brought homelessness. That's a new one. I thought it started with the massive cuts in mental health hospitals that took place during the Regan administration. Gee, all along, we've all been wrong.

I am so glad that your "research" has led you to such a conclusion. I have real world friends who are mixed race. 95% of them, if you ask them what race they are, will tell you the races of their parents, not claim to be one race over another. good god.

First of all, racism is more than racial prejudice so let's first use the correct term. The word that you are looking for is bigoted or prejudiced.

So, to rephrase, is it bigoted to vote for a black person just because they are black? Answer no. But it is bigoted to vote against someone because they are black (or white).

Voting for someone because you see it as a good thing isn't bigoted. It is only when you vote against someone that it becomes bad. I'm not voting for McCain because McCain is (in my opinion) the worst choice for a country in peril, not because he's white.

Who would have thought that people would actually be against bring in first time voters in America? Geesh, what are we coming to in this country.

Your friends do not total to the entire population of mixed black people in this nation. So, what you should have said is the people that I know call themselves mixed race not that all do.

Oh that is such BS! I have lived in the south for all of my 29 years and I have never even seen a KKK member. Why don't you look at where most of the white supremacy groups are located, it's not the south.
