If Obama gets assassinated by some right wing redneck nut...Democrats need to get off their butts and stop being sign waving hippies. We can't let "sore losers" destroy want America wants. (that is if he wins)

Ummmm, no. You're using the word "assassination" as if it has no more significance than a candidate stubbing his toe.

If, god forbid, either candidate was actually attacked it would be a major game changing event. The country would go into shock. I don't know what would happen after that (and I shudder to think about it) but at the very least we'd see a significant swing in the votes.

Everybody would just sit around and feel helpless.

If they throw dirt at each other tonight, I'm tuning out. I want to hear about issues, not past history.

It would be easy......BUT it wouldnt address the issues that Americans need to have addressed. It is easy for McCain and Palin to use hate....its all they have left. McCain can't run a campaign let alone the country.
This is good, some of you McBush-ites need to read this, do you want ppl to chant all these things while they are having a debate? And these things are actually true unlike the chants that Obama is a terrorist.

I never worried about assassination until my redneck neighbor said, "I think someone's gonna killem.." I think I've lived in a bubble too long and didn't realize to what extent racism is still alive and kicking (I'm gonna say it, alive and kicking in these southern parts).

That being said, I think that the McPalin ticket is feuling the fires by pulling out the bogus terrorist connection. Some people are too dumb to realize that it isn't true and it gets people going. Gang mentality, it's sickening to see these types at these rallys. How embarrassing for their team if their base is a bunch of racists. Do they want to win at any cost? McCain should be ashamed of himself and after this election, his reputation is gone. I'm really angry and frustrated that people are so f-ing dumb.
