Exactly. I honestly do not give a damm about one plumber's opinions - but do care about what the middle class in general thinks. If he wants to buy a buisness that is too big for him, he can get a loan or else he is way out of his league. I would also love to buy the company I work for but dont have the dough. Joe can also build the business - last I checked, opening a plumbing shop ain't rocket science - there are virtually no barriers to entry.
Yeah, the Joe the Plumber Comments will go down in history as...silly. :P
I'm sure they'll long be remembered, though. And Joe himself must be pretty stoked. Who wants to place bets that Joe T. Plumber's 15 minutes of fame stretch out longer than Palin's?
How the hell is this nobody getting this kind of face time? Hey, I want to get on national TV and have my name invoked 23 times in a presidential debate too!
Go tell people in America you have a "new" plan and then call it socialism in the name of liberalism and you're in there. To bad all throughout history the new plan was America. That's dying in this election though so no more new stuff for anyone.
Remember though- Joe's not a business owner yet- he's considering buying the business that he's worked for over the past 10 years. We have no idea what his level of business acumen is, as he has neither proved of disproved his ability to manage a business.
Yeah any idiot can work for a company for 10 years and say he want's to buy it.....what loser...

Cindy / Budweiser can repay Joe later by putting him in a 6-pack beer commercial -this will address Palin's Joe 6-pack too.
BTW, what is the campaign's obsession with the name Joe. I think Biden got to them.
That is an excellent point. We have become more and more top heavy and consequently our economy is collapsing. This paradigm of wealth that we have now is not sustainable. Wages for most people have been stagnating for years while the top executives have been giving themselves multi billion dollar bonuses and golden parachutes. Obama is right that this is unhealthy for all of us, or almost all of us. Trickle down economics is why we are where we are. It has been a miserable failure.
I think my brother in law "Darryl" would be a better poster child for our current economic situation than "Joe the plumber" by far. Darryl has delivered baked goods in the Pittsburgh area for 12 years. The well known company he works for has been in bankruptcy for the past five years. Therefore, Darryl has not received a raise for 5 years. As of last week, all workers had to agree to $100 a week pay cut to help keep the company afloat.
During these last 5 years, 3 CEO's have been hired in an attempt to pull this company out of bankruptcy and have not been in any way successful. Yet, each left their position after a year or two with multi billion dollar severance packages.
This is a common scenario. Much more so than Joe the plumber's who represents approx. 5% of small business owners. Joe was hand picked as someone who might not benefit from Obama's plan. More importantly, there are 95% of us who will.
Excellent point, and good example. I hope the American voters are smart enough to see through this Karl Rove picked "Joe the Plumber". I can't even add to your post, because you summed up everything in 4 exellent paragraphs!
Joe the plumber is one of us! Idiots..........
250,000 business is not a big price if it is thriving! It is minimal......
We "all" need plumbers. How much inventory do you think they need? they have to keep it somewhere, they have liability insurance they have to carry so if any damage occurs at a site.
Come on people this hits home with all of us. The American dream is to be able to have our own business and have it thrive and grow.
Not to be capped and limited!
