Smooth move Exlax, informed sources say the exact opposite.

Military Times poll: Troops backing McCain - Military News - Military Times

I see you know as much as obama about the Armed Forces.

It proves that among those with cash to donate to each campaign, Obama outscored McCain 6-1.

Ouch!

Since Military Times would be unbiased they are certainly a better source on the subject than the standard No Load that knows notta about the military. You know, like the Boy Blunder.

I won't argue that they didn't give till it hurts. They just can't help themselves.

What people like you cannot comprehend is that being a soldier is not a prerequisite for the job, if it were, George W. Bush would have never been elected, as he was AWOL during a time of war. And he was reelected over a decorated veteran.

McCain was 5th from last in his class, has anger management issues and is not very bright.

He should ask to be Secretary of the Navy, he could do that. President is out of his league. Not smart enough, just like those voting for him.

Good thing that we all get to vote, and the election ISN'T left solely up to members of the military, then, huh?

Hint for you LeRoy, one cannot be AWOL from the inactive reserves. Now why would a known hard drug abuser and known supporter of a racist and terrorist like obama be qualified?

You might understand more by your 30th but I doubt it.

Your "informed sources" may say the opposite of what odanny said, but they certainly aren't ironclad (no pun intended).

From your own link:

Quote:
The results of the Military Times 2008 Election Poll are not representative of the opinions of the military as a whole. The group surveyed is older, more senior in rank and less ethnically diverse than the overall armed services.
also:

Quote:
Although public opinion pollsters use random selection to survey the general public, the Military Times survey is based on responses from those who chose to participate. That means it is impossible to calculate statistical margins of error commonly reported in opinion surveys, because those calculations depend on random sampling techniques.

The voluntary nature of the survey could affect the results — if supporters of one candidate are more prone to express their opinions, for example. The dependence on e-mail could also affect the results, because e-mail users may have different characteristics than the military population as a whole.
