I guess I knew it was coming from this side of my wife's family. Besides our regular weekly dose of; PROOF POSTIVE THAT OBAMA'S A MUSLIM, and PROOF THAT OBAMA PLANNED 9/11, to OBAMA TO FORCE ALL WHITE WOMEN TO HAVE ABORTIONS emails from this side, we sometimes do receive some cute jokes that don't involve race.
The other day we got one about how "he (meanin me-golfgod) is totally brainwashed, he's just helping the "N"s to take EVERYTHING FROM US and give it to the rest of the Ns and Mexi***s.
Yeap, "everything" is going to be taken from this yahoo. He works a low to mid-level civil service job, she barely graduated high school and IIRC has worked off and on in a coffee shop. Two of their 3 kids are not high earners either, an engineer (she does pretty well $) and a night auditor at a hotel and the third one whose career path reads like a college student's a different service type job every 5 months or so. I guess the kids think everything is going to the Ns and Ms. Like they would actually want any of the carp that these rednecks own.
I think some people are stuck in the '50s.

yeah I am not speaking to someone in my family right now because they fwd me some ugly things like that. I still haven't figured out if they believed it or were trying to hurt my feelings. Either way, I asked to be taken off this list, which included people at a Military Base, she wouldn't take me off so I hit " reply all " with a fact-check email back on all points to the whole list. Soon I found myself off that list.

I get about 50 political e-mails a day and I haven't gotten any like the ones you and many BO lovers describe in this forum. These are lies to make all republicans look racist.

Make up a new anonymous email, and I'll forward a few that I've received from the Republicans in my family. I wouldn't even know of these nasty emails if they hadn't sent them.

It is extremely hard for me to believe that nasty politically-related e-mails would be sent from one family member to another. Then I have to remember that my own grandmother, may she burn in Hades, took me to court on false charges that were dropped. Suddenly those nasty e-mails are completely believable.

I live in a Red state, as suggested make up a anon email and I will gladly forward these emails to you. Some of them are completely shameful.
That is why I have a delete button. ALL political emails get deleted!! I have more important things to do then read that crap. But this forum sure keeps me laughing while I sit in airports waiting for my plane. Sure hope after I get home I don't sleep the day away and forget to vote.

*L* The "burn in Hades" part made me laugh outloud. And it is true that some family members can be absolutely crazy.
My preference is not to talk politics with family members who disagree with my views, but they can't seem to let it go for some reason.
I get quite a few extreme e-mails about immigration from family members who seem to think I must feel as they do about all the issues...I usually just delete those. But when I got the "Obama is the Anti-Christ" email a couple of months ago, I really enjoyed being able to use the "reply-all" button!
