I'm my studies of the scriptures "beast" means nation, as in the four beasts of the book of Daniel. I'm a novice so I try to hold off coming to conclusions too soon. Check out my entry a little bit up the thread.
Maybe, maybe not, but I think it must be a person (actually satan behind it but anyways) who forces the mark of the beast on people, a world leader. The "Babylon" described in Revelations is probably the U.S., but of course that could be wrong.
Well, I've always been quite liberal, and as an adult, I have only attended churches with a liberal perspective, but I left our local Unitarian Universalist Church, a couple of years ago (well, 9 years ago, actually), when our interum pastor suggsted that we were probably all at least a little bit worried that Y2K would be "the end of times". . . . sheesh!
I thought the end times were supposed to be a good thing? You know - the return of Jesus, the Rapture, everyone going up to heaven. Why would those who believe in that mythology want to avoid the end times?
Read "Left Behind", by Tim LaHaye & Jerry B. Jenkins...it will help you understand why you don't want to be left behind when the Rapture happens!
I've noticed most Republicans are evangelical whackjobs.
Strange. Very strange.
Thank you! As a Republican and an evangelical I really don't mind being called names!
And, I do support McCain because he shares most of my beliefs on both moral and ethical issues.
I don't believe that bo is the anti-christ...just a very charismatic person who speaks well and says nothing! He is full of hopeful platitudes and speaks in generalities! Nothing specific. He has a lot of you fooled, and by way indoctrination you've all fallen for it hook, line and sinker!
