The largest DC crowds ever, for any event, were for LBJ's Inauguration in 1965, which drew an estimated 1.2million, and the Million Man March in 1995, which drew an estimated 800k-1 million. It is believed that if the entire National Mall is utilized, it can hold about 3 million people without much trouble... It's the transit system that would be obliterated by such a crowd...
Yeah I know, I'll probably just stay with a cousin of mine over in Arlington.
There ya go. I have a sister in Baltimore but the Inner Harbor is still aways a way from the Mall. As much I'd love to contact Sen. Durbin and beg for a ticket, I think the logistics of getting around makes it better for me to not bother. It would be a magic moment to attend though, history in the making.
Is it just me or would most people rather watch from home? I mean what is the point of going if you are going to be so far away that you can see anything?

Just you. I know a ton of people who want to go but can't. The point of going is just being in that atmosphere and experiencing it. Something you can tell your grandkids and great-grandkids. It's not all about having the front-row view.
