If you think there's been a difference in the coverage, prove it.

This thread was based on a lie, as has been pointed out. Please provide a fact, if you have any at all.

So what do you propose they do for this Inauguration? Eliminate all emergency, police, and support services? Make those providing the services provide it for free? Prohibit private donations? Eliminate all of the Port-o-Potties so that people would have to answer nature's call in the open? Maybe it should be canceled altogether. Would that make you happy?

I read that it's going to be over $170 million the Obama Inauguration. But my question is, how much of that is going to be privately funded? It could be a Billion Dollars, and if it's all privately funded, it doesn't really matter. Part of being American is supposed to mean that you can spend your own money however you want.
Yes, part of being American is supposed to mean that you can spend your own money however you want. And that does not mean that taxes should be used to cause a redistribution of wealth. But what kind of egotist would allow that much money to be spent in his honor when so many people are in need. Bad example. What else is new.

ABC News: What Recession? The $170 Million Inauguration

Quote:
The biggest group of donors were none other than the recently bailed-out Wall Street executives and employees.
"The finance sector is well represented, despite its recent troubles," Ritsch said. "Those who worked in finance still managed to pull together nearly $7 million for the inauguration."

The donors will get some of the best seats in the house for the inauguration, as well as admittance to some of the best balls and other events.
Where is the outrage from the Left? We know, without a doubt, what they would be saying if a republican were being sworn in.

Actually, all I'm saying is that IF the Inauguration is privately funded, those spending the money are free to spend as little or as much as they please.

Whether it's a good or bad example, or good or bad time to spend that much money is, to me, beside the point.

$641 million dollars from 3.4 million donors. That's trust!!!

John McCan't and Wailin' Palin raised how much money from how many donors? That's doubt!!!

Keep on vitching. Nothing you say is going to change the outcome of this election. The hate, ignorance, lies, stupidity, tunnel vision of the 100 or so people out of millions who hate President-elect B. HUSSEIN Obama is hilarious given he is who the American people elected to be the next President of these United States!

'CELEBRATE, CELEBRATE, DANCE TO THE MUSIC!!'

I'm smiling!!

How about here and here.

Now, you show us where the conservative voices were complaining about Bush's inaugural expenses.

So why you loose you home, cut back on you spending, do with less or without out, Obama is living high on the hog and you are going to pay for it. So is this is the sacrificed Obama asked all of us for? We sacrificed and government lives to excess.
Merely a drop in the bucket of Bush's TRILLION dollar tab he left you, your kids, and your grandkids.

Lol, in their nightmares! No Repug would ever think to invite the people of the country to come and be part of his inauguration celebration. (Not that anyone would want to go.)

Sorry if you cant understand.
