Wow, just when you think it's safe to let a Republican open his mouth,he quickly inserts his foot. It just can't get any better than this.

GOP Sen. hopeful heard calling Schumer 'that Jew'

A Republican state lawmaker hoping for his party's nod to run for Senate reportedly referred to Democratic Sen. Chuck Schumer as "that Jew" during a recent appearance before a Republican group.

State Sen. Kim Hendren told The Associated Press on Thursday that he was wrong to refer to Schumer's religious affiliation during a Pulaski County Republican Committee meeting last week. Hendren said he doesn't remember the exact wording of his comment, but he was quoted by conservative blogger Jason Tolbert as calling Schumer "that Jew."

I dunno, but it just doesn't seem to be the GOPs year...

Wait for it, wait for it;

1. I never said it. ROLL TAPE.
2. I was quoted out of context. THAT'S THE ENTIRE TAPE.
3. I was only joking. THAT'S NOT FUNNY.
4. What? Isn't he Jewish.

5. Many C-D'ers on the right accuse the thread starter or being an anti-Semite for bringing it up.

And they wonder why they have a reputation for a bunch of fat, out of touch WASPs.

Its funny to see the very same liberals proclaim that people like "Frank and Pelosi", speak for themself and not all Democrats, but when one Republican says something stupid, its branded as the "GOP"...

I guess it's okay for Democrats to refer to Christians as "right wing fundies" etc, but we dare not call a Jew a Jew. Does that make any sense?

Look at all the names they have called Sarah Palin, based on her religion (Christian).

There really does seem to be a double standard here.

Typical response. You might want to go ask one of those Jews why it's inappropriate.
