You think these are good choices? Any that should have made it instead?

A lot of these are great, but are Granada and Innsbruck really overlooked?

It's hilarious that they included Helsinki, Budapest, Porto, Innsbruck, Granada, Brno, Bergen and Rhodes Town on that list...

In Italy, I would overlook Genoa, but not the surrounding small towns on the coast, while, on the other side, I would not overlook Trieste and Ravenna. Personally I would add Arles in France and, in Portugal, Evora and a trip through Algarve.

I don't think that the average person in the English-speaking world has heard much of towns like Innsbruck (all I know is the 1976 winter Olympics), Brno, and Bergen, so they deserve to be on the list, also Bratislava. But, yes, a bit shocked to see Helsinki, Budapest, Granada, and Rhodes, not places one tends to think of as overlooked.

I'd like to add my own city, León. We have the cathedral with the best glass outside France (that is, not counting French cathedrals in) but Burgos cathedral always gets more recognised by both Spaniards and foreigners.

Yes, I don't see the logic there. Well Brno maybe, but those others seem a bit weird.

I definitely didn't expect to see Helsinki, Budapest or Porto on that list, but more like Karlovy Vary, Gdansk, Trier and Koblenz or something like that.

For example in Helsinki, US citizens are the 5th largest group of international visitors (after Russia, Germany, Sweden and UK), so at least some have found it.
Italian, Spanish and French tourists dropped by average over -12% in one year, Greek with -22%. Spain with -32% the year before. Wonder why...........

I heard Trieste is worth visiting and often forgotten as mentioned. Genoa is well known except compared to Venice.

I randomly looked at Arles on google streetview, looked neat for a very small city.

Useless fact: Arles is the largest French municipality by land area.

I was thinking of Karlovy Vary and Gdansk too. Wouldn't put Koblenz on the list, but well that's me.

Drove through Slough once heading towards Windsor and thought "is that all the fuss is about?".
