That's quite unfair, as your daughter has an allowance (does she even?). But a deal it is.

I'm damn good with footballing small girls. We are on the same page.

She has no money because she broke her piggy bank, silly child. She's in football club though so maybe you'll win.

Prices in Finland are probably still affordable by the locals after income and sales taxes are paid, because income in Finland is high.

May I know how affordable are private housing in Finland? Can most people afford to own a house?

I don't think Finland is considered close to China when flying.
Northern Europe and Eurozone are definitely expensive by Asian standard, including Japan.

Your examples are about right, most of the times it's people from poor countries who complain about the prices... Especially now when dollar is doing well, prices are nothing special for a canadian

Looking in my local paper, detached houses range from 30,000e to 120,000e. Row houses and flats are (generally) cheaper.

Definately. About 50% of people live in their own houses, even more would if those ****heads would keep zoning them inside of Helsinki metro(which is growing rapidly). Most people own whatever dwelling they live in, renting is mostly for students and poor people.

Finland is considered close when you are trying to run an airline Please don't argue about this, I'm very aware of Finnair's situation and strategy You think Finns fly to places called "XI'AN" and Chongwing?

Yea Asians are poor, for a Canadian Finland isn't expensive.

Where do you live? You can pay 120k for a parking space in my city A modest house would be starting from 400k. And still most people own their apartments

Mänttä - no one wants to live here The most expensive house in this weeks paper is 208,000 and that's a new house. Summer houses seem to be more expensive than normal houses here.

Didn't they close some paper mill or something? Because <120k€ for a healthy house is so little that there's basically no functioning market. Even with free land it costs roughly 200 000€ to build a new one(modest).

Tampere is close enough to support summer houses but too far to drive to work

Its not closed yet, a whole lot of money has been invested in the town recently actually - new ice hockey arena being built, new fancy sign posts everywhere, new housing being built. The paper mill had all its electrics replaced so don't think they're closing down any time soon. But still no one wants to live here, its too far away from anywhere decent (like Tampere). I like it though
