To be clear, by "shy" I meant shy like kids. People in my country who are like that often get diagnosed with Social anxiety disorder or even Aspergers syndrome and are very rare.....if that all makes any sense.
I am a shy person myself, which is quite rare here. Most Pakistani men are actually quite the opposite. They are outgoing, chatty, flirtatious, brave.....basically they are what men are supposed to be like, unlike me lol.
Yeah right ok. Then I can't say. Social anxiety and Aspergers is looked here as "ok, whatever rolls your boat, but get off my face".
People aren't supposed to be like anything, especially not due to gender.
I wish I could agree with you, but in reality, people do expect certain behavior from men. For example, I am also very immature(man child) and people around me tell me to "grow the F*ck up" all the time.

Correct, they are expected behaviours, but they shouldn't be.
Any and every person insisting "Men should be like this" just perpetuates this stereotype, which is why I hate hearing it.
And not due to race either. I was more offended by the sweeping generalization he made about "white" men (which by the way, aren't made different from Pakistanis, many of which are also fair skinned, because of their skin colour). What makes us different is culture, a third or fourth generation Italian American who still retains himself as Italian is much more likely to actually have the same culture as an African American than he does to have the same or even a somewhat similar culture to an actual Italian
I think he named men because being a man, he made the comparison between himself and people who are of his same gender. Anyway, you are right on this matter
1. Where did I say "white men"?
2. If you got offended only because I asked if North Europeans are shy, then the Internet is not for you, my friend.
3. I clearly said "no offense is intended" and that "ofc not every one is like that".
4. Lighten up. Life is too short to get offended by what random strangers say/ask on the internet.
