By the time a woman gets to a mature age they usually have developed their own style and that can be anything they want it to be. And hopefully by that time they will realize what looks the best on them.

You are posting the wealthy, cream of the crop. Most have had cosmetic surgery too. Few women in their 30s and 40s look as good as the women you pictured.

You took the words right out of my mouth,OngletNYC! I can not afford, Botox,Butt Tucks, Face Lifts,Etc.
Kim Basinger looks like she went to Axl Rose and Mickey Rourke's plastic surgeon.EEEEEEEE
Patti Hansen is gorgeous-guess all those years of being Mrs. Keith Richards have been good for her.
I think that pic of Angelica is from her years with Jack Nicholson back in the 70-80s. She is a still a total style icon though.
Of course women can wear these things but look at these women. Most are slender and thin. A woman
With a different body type might not be able to pull off a leather mini.

In this case, it's not about their faces, so whether or not they've had botox etc is irrelevant. And it's not about money, several of the looks especially Ines De Frangesse's are the type of clothes you can buy at The Gap or Banana Republic or J Crew.
And yes, the majority are not overweight. But Patti Labelle is not slender and she still looks great. Now being obese and carrying these looks off, yes that would be difficult, as it would for a younger obese woman. But I believe obesity is a choice.
I was trying to make the point with regard to another thread entitled "What makes you look like an old lady"
where all these people wrote in saying things like:
older women wear too many prints
older women can't wear animal prints
older women carry huge purses
older women shouldn't wear sparkles in the daytime
older women can't wear cropped pants or capris
older women should wear hairdos of a certain type
And show instead that older women can dress currently, and age-appropriately, and look good doing it!
They can carry off a variety of looks from classic to trendy.
You don't need to limit yourself because you're older -- the sky's the limit, as long as it's flattering.
