I would not try it for the first time a week before your vacation. You don't know how your skin is going to react and if it becomes irritated or if you get a rash, you risk being miserable (and looking really nasty) on your vacation. Pass this time and make an appointment for after you return.

I've clearly hit some sort of nerve with you. Good grief, where did your statement above in bold come from?
Listen, you can eradicate anything from your body anytime you want. I could care less. I just stated why I find the practice unattractive. The conversation was about a Brazilian, not arm pits, leg hair, or any other body part with hair.
Whenever this comes up there always seems to be a fight between the "I don't want to look like a child" camp and the "not being waxed bare is gross" camp. Everybody just do what you want. Can't we all just get along?
