Scarves (of whatever type) serve as a clothing accessory that provides warmth and ornamentation (to varying degrees, respectively, depending on the specific type) and may also have additional uses such as (mainly for women) securing one's hair. An additional use is stuffing them into the mouths of people who keep asking the same question again and again and again despite its having been answered in seventeen different ways.

Your welcome.

This isn't a "scarf"; it's just a big loop of fabric. That's my whole point.

I think it is a great idea ,
Ever sit at theater or a game and the seat is plastic or worse hard and the back is hard .
It would be nice to have something that you could put between you and or the seat or seat back to be more comfortable.
Just , me practical thinking .

I remember when it was more common for Europeans to wear scarves simply as a fashion statement, and no one else was wearing them. That was true for a long time. Why and how it became popular worldwide, I can't guess. I don't mind them though. Infinity "loop" scarves have had more staying power than I thought they'd have.

Gigantic, oversize heavy scarves were a bit of a thing last Winter. I wonder if they'll be around this Winter too? The stores all seem to be selling them... Zara, H&M, Forever21, Aritzia (Canadian stores), etc.....

A huge scarf has so many uses, just like a shoulder bag. Men need to get into these inventions as more than a fashion statement, they're seriously useful.
