A lot of runners have a good amount of wrinkles due to sun exposure and the face takes a beating by the action of running. Most runners I know don't care if they are wrinkled though.
That is true. I would still take a few well place lines over sagging if given a choice.
I am 51 and my hair has been getting grayer over the past few years. Then again, unlike my three brothers, I still have hair on my head. One thing I have started because my body has been hurting in the morning, is to start Taekwondo with my kids. I stretch for a half hour in the morning and do a small at home workout. My kids can do the slits and kick over their head. I have the same goal.
Someone just left me a comment about extensions and them thinning out your hair. That's not true anymore. There's numerous extensions out on the market. Extensions have come a long way. If you are scared of them, you could just get clip in ones. I wore them when I had an awful hair cut.
I didn't leave the comment, but clip in extensions probably wouldn't help with the kind of hair loss where your part gets wider, because there's not enough hair left to disguise the top of the extensions.
A hairpiece that sits on the top of the head would help more, but it can be hot and itchy wearing any kind of wig or hairpiece.
I think extensions help a lot when someone has hair that breaks after it grows a few inches, but when your hair is just falling out all over your head, they don't do much. I tried them and couldn't get them to look right other than using a bandanna or wide hairband to cover the tops, and my own hair looked decent enough with a bandanna or wide hairband.
I fear hair getting thinner since I have fine hair but still have a lot of it - hair really matters to me. On good thing is that I always had a big, round baby face and now as I age it looks young - the sinking in has made it look better -
So lets see - #1 is hair loss, #2 is jowls, #3 is the elevens in my forehead

There is help for the hair and elevens that is fairly inexpensive. Only one issue to worry about!😃

Well, like a few others here, I am already experiencing certain things, as I am about to turn 67 next month. The 3 things that bother me most is the dagger line between my eyebrows (part scar, part wrinkle) the puffiness under my eyes (genetic, my whole family has them) and the loss of volume/collagen in my face and arms. I am tall and long limbed with a thin face and slender arms, and now my face has a slightly "caved" look (although not too bad yet) and no amount of strength training is going to build up my arms with its ever changing skin (but at least I do have good muscle tone from working out) My hair has lightened up to a silvery, almost blonde color that I actually like and get compliments on, so I am growing out the old dark dye. So at least that's a plus!
Like many, in the last couple years I have been struggling to come to terms with the process of aging, and at the end of the day I really just try to focus on what I've still got; which is plenty compared to many. I am speaking here of health and happiness. I do a lot of things I enjoy, I am a friendly outgoing person who loves to laugh and make people happy, I show affection, and am confident in who and what I am. I have a strong, fairly well toned body from all of my activities and I work on keeping it that way, we can all do that much to stave off bone and muscle loss, obesity, etc.
As far as the "looks" goes, I have decided that for myself; I just want to age gracefully in whatever way that is. I mean, no nip and tuck, lipo, fillers or Botox, etc. I have discovered plenty of "temporary fixes" for things - such as "Frownies" for the forehead line, some stuff that goes under the eyes, makeup, etc. Not only do I not want the expense of "procedures", I don't want to risk anything going wrong, or ending up look weird, like so many women do.
The above just addresses the physical. I want to be as healthy as possible, but I prefer not to "fear" anything. Doesn't do any good. I just do the best I can to stay healthy and well.
