No, never during the day. It has happened once or twice in the middle of the night when the dog had a bad stomach that I threw my coat on top of pajamas and took him out.
I went out w/ a coat over my pajamas instead of changing into sweats ONE morning to get the newspaper out of the driveway and hoped no neighbors would see me.
Yep. When I lived in Japan, I lived over a grocery store and would buy breakfast there every morning. Some mornings I just wasn’t that interested in getting dressed before breakfast.
I have worn pj's a few times; always when going to the ER or to and from outpatient surgeries.
They are "lounge wear", so they are loose fitting pants and shirts; not something I would normally wear out of the house, but decent and they don't scream !PJs!
My DH always tells me when there is someone wearing pjs in public. He is especially horrified when someone wear an adult onsie in public.
No. But this week I saw two grown men in the grocery store, doing shopping while wearing PJ bottoms and soft shoes. I guess it is it is more acceptable among younger people? Perhaps if you wear PJs at home while working, and you suddenly realize you need bread and milk?
It occurs to me that I have seen this kind of attire before, and not paid much attention. I also see some women in very comfy leisurewear and house shoes at the grocery store, but don’t remember any in PJs.
I wear jeans everywhere now. I have stopped dressing up. I don’t own pajamas, but I would not wear them in a store even if I did.
