When I need to run into town to the gas station early in the morning or late at night. That's the only place I wear sweatpants instead of jeans out in public.
I have also worn the lounge-wear type clothing out late at night when filling up the car. I went to a pharmacy during the night in actual PJ's; I was a sight, and the astonished look on their faces was hilarious. Another time I walked to a nearby store in PJs two days after surgery; the clerk approached me cautiously and asked, "Have you been sick?"
I did once in college. A bunch of us girls went to a club and when we were on our way home, one of the girls suggested that we eat at Country Kitchen. Someone dared us all to go back to the apartment and put on our pj's and go to Country Kitchen so we did. I remember I had on my pj's and a robe. Everyone stared at us as we all walked in at 1 am in our jams. We thought it was the most awesome funniest thing to do.
When I was in college some friends and I decided after an evening out to put on our pajamas and robes and go eat out at Country Kitchen. That illicited a lot of stares which is what we wanted to accomplish. We thought it was the funniest thing ever. Now you see folks out in their pj's everywhere.
I guess I already posted this. My memory must be going down the slammer.
I walk my dogs around my apartment complex - which is currently under construction. Last potty break before bed ( and the occasional middle of the night for Brat Dog) and both first thing before breakfast and longer after breakfast walk. If any of my neighbors have an issue with it - they can get dressed and walk the beasts!!
also - have you LOOKED at the way people dress? one trip to Walmart will answer your question!!
No because it looks sloppy like you just rolled out of bed and don't care. I have even seen young children under age 10 in the store wearing pajamas. Come on parents dress your kids and if they throw a tantrum too bad. Pajamas are for sleeping.
Pajamas in public imply the individual is dirty/unbathed. Which grosses me out, personally.
I don't have a problem w/ people out walking their dogs or getting the mail. But going into stores or other places ~ come on people, get it together... No excuses.
