It’s not just for romantic encounters tho. Panties & bras are daily wear....what’s wrong with feeling feminine & sexy every day...even under jeans? They may come off....but they still have a purpose.
You know what I want - I want comfort. Whether it's a $30 pair or a $7 pair, I want them to be comfortable, and if they're not, they're going in the trash. Like immediately. Pretty is nice and preferable actually, but they better be comfortable too.
I said $30 because that's I think the most I've ever spent on a pair of underwear. Now a bra is a different story. I'm talking about panties.
Jockey French Cut cotton panties for $22 for three, sometimes less if I go to the outlet mall and they are on sale. All in all, I must have 50 pairs of panties. (Incidentally why do we refer to them as a pair of underwear or panties?) Some are fancy but most of them are the Jockey French Cut.
The most that I'm willing to spend on a pair of panties is around twenty dollars. (My most expensive undies were gifts.) I can usually score expensive ones on the cheap if I can find them on the clearance rack at Nordstrom.
For everyday work wear, the Hanes cotton bikinis that come six/eight to a pack are what I buy. Breathable, comfortable, stay put when I bend, twist, squat, and climb throughout the work day and are easy to simply toss into the washer with no special care necessary.
...and I'm not talking abotu special-occasion lingerie or anything. Just regular, daily underwear.
All my life (& same for finace'), I'd get what I like on sale &/or what's reasonably priced. I've recently found a certain brand I really like, but it's pricey. $16.50 a pair & that's on sale from being $18.50...the Duluth Trading Co. Buck Naked Performance Underwear. The fabric is really nice, moisture-wicking, etc. That's the most I've ever spent on 1 pair.
My fiance's come to love Mack Weldon. He would have never known about it if I hadn't stumbled upon it. It's $28 a pair...yikes.
This past year, we've started getting a pair maybe 2-4x's a year as a treat to ourselves.
$12 for the Fruit of the Loom nylon 6 pack at Wal-Mart.

Pretty sure I got a cotton FOL or Hanes 12 pack for about $12 at WM. Very comfortable. I picked up an extra pack for the local social service agency - they always need new underwear and socks for clients.
Maybe, like me, Chessie mom saw ”& same for finace”, and assumed it was a misspelling of fiancé, fiancé being male, as opposed to fiancée, being female, it’s an easy mistake.
I bought my wife three pairs of knickers, I can’t type p*n***s, I dislike the word, at £105 each, ($150 each) from Agent Provocateur a couple of birthdays ago.
She wasn’t happy, “What are you, the underwear connoisseur? I prefer Marks & Spencer, (think Sears), at £6.00 to £15.00 a pop.”
Under $20. for sure. I like lace undies for summer wear because they are so cool and comfortable but because there isn't much to them they shouldn't cost much. Various Brands. Betsey Johnson.
