But it might have been the LL Bean store that we took pictures of the big shoe at. I can't remember, all I remember is that the clothes were all TOO HOT! LOL
Lands End must have a certain demographic in a certain region that they are trying to appeal to. Their clothing doesn't appeal to me. I mean, who would ever wear this?
Everything in both these brands is so boxy and unflattering IMO. and boring.
How about some princess seams for the ladies? (I know this adds cost and may be old fashioned or something, but I like to look good in what I wear....)
I got another Lands End catalog yesterday. On a page with a quilted vest, the model was wearing a black and white buffalo check flannel dress, over leggings. Cute, I thought, exactly the sort of thing I’d wear to do errands, but when I went to order it, there was nothing but goofy prints.
OK well I went to both and apparently I have them merged in my mind. I didn't buy anything at either store. The clothes were all too hot for Texas and the other stuff was overpriced in my opinion.
Just got the latest Lands End catalog with many people wearing ugly pajamas on the cover. Inside the choices for other items were just as bad. Great if you are color blind! I am a visual person and got a headache from all the gaudy prints and garish colors. I am thinking about buying a warmer quilted long jacket that doesn't make me look like the Michelin Man. Guess I'll wait for the after Xmas sales at higher end stores. Depends on how cold the weather gets, too.
Land's End bathing suits are good quality. I've had some of them for years and years. They do not stretch out as badly as the ones I bought at Kohl's.
I'm curious--the person who would wear a buffalo check flannel dress--where the heck do you wear that? I can't see it being suitable for anything. I guess that's the demographic who Land's End tries to appeal to.
