I've been putting a layer or two of Sally Hansen's Hard as Wraps on them and it works very well. The price has been going up for years and it's getting more difficult to find. So typical when you find something that works.
One day I was in the dollar store and saw a bottle of L.A. Colors clear Megagrow for a dollar and thought I'd pick it up for a top coat. I've discovered that it works well, not quite as well, as the Hard as Wraps.
You really have to let this stuff sit on the nail for a couple of days before you get the full effect. If it chips before then all bets are off. But once it really hardens you'll be good for two or three weeks.
If it chips you could just as well remove it all on that nail and start over because that spot will just keep chipping from my experience.
