I'm starting to see well dressed women usually younger than 35 with a nose piercing and it's just so unappealing. While beauty is in the eye of the beholder and trends always change over time. I find the trend of dressing well and nose piercing to be very unappealing and distracting.
1st of all, facial beauty is all about symmetry. If you have one bigger ear ring on one ear, it looks off.
Having nose piercing is like having a shiny pimple next to the nose.
What do yall think about it?
I think it's pretty gross. Im an radiology tech and I have to ask patients to remove their metals for certain scans or xrays exams and place them in small plastic container I provide them.

I'm OK with a stud on the side, but it's the nose ring such as was found on a cow that puts me off. An otherwise beautiful woman just loses all appeal to me with one of those.
Someone upthread mentioned the nasal cavities being an area that contains some nasty stuff like viruses, bacteria, germs, etc.
When I see someone with a nose ring, I think that they probably need to adjust it or touch it during the day without being able to wash their hands afterwards. It reminds me of someone blowing their nose and not washing their hands afterwards.
I know it could just be perception on my part, but that's what comes to mind. It seems like an unsanitary way to express yourself.

I always think how disgusting it is that they stick their finger up their nose to put their "jewelry" on.

Reminds me of my friend who told her 20-something daughter, "Didn't I teach you to keep your fingers out of your nose when you were five? Stop playing with your nose ring."

Oh my gosh yes. I see so many cute and attractive ladies and then see the nose ring... and always think of the ring that holds my car keys. Or a cattle ring I saw on my grandfather's bulls on his farm growing up—big turn off.
Personal observation it seems those around me that have them are very into what others think about them. They have lower self-esteem, and want to be liked and accepted more than those that don't have them. But when they speak they claim "I don't care what anyone says"... but actually they do. That's been my observation.
