I think they actually look more feminine and alluring than short skirts.
A person need not worry as much about sitting in them and the position of the legs.
They, depending on your life style, can be more versatile as to occasion.

So I think for both comfort and appearance, they are a good deal.

I can understand that.

Maybe - just me thinking out loud - something long with a high empire fit, like just under the bust, and in a solid color (at least the entire bottom being solid) would tend to lengthen the body, though.

I'm a shorty so I don't think anything that starts out that long should be purchased by someone like me.
I'm only 5'2....5'1 and a half if you want to get technical.

I do like the way they look on some women though. If I was taller, I'd get a few.

Like others, I can't wear 'em. I am 5'1" (well, almost) and they wear ME!

I have seen taller women wearing them and I thought they looked beautiful. Some styles are simply not for those of us under 5'4" though. Maybe in my next life? LOL

I bought a really cute one from Wal-Mart last year, it's brown with blue and beige flowers on it, it's very long on me, but it's fits great in the upper body. I worry that since I am only 5'1", it kind of drowns me, and there's a lot of material past the waist, but I've seen taller girls wearing them and those hemlines hit the floor, so maybe it's not so bad??
