Alright so im 23 born n raised in phoenix & my gf jamie is 19. Her & i are looking to move outta the metro phx area. I wanna move to the northwest region somewhere but my gf just isnt ready for that big of a move just yet as im a seasoned traveler & she is a small 5'2 115 lb makeup doll who isnt used to cold weather like i am & im looking for the next best thing until shes ready for more of a leap. So far ive come up with a couple places in state such as flagstaff, sedona & cottonwood. I wanna be somewhere i can go camping & fishing & doesnt get over 100 degrees, jamie & i are both very irish so we dont fair well in this 115 degree weather. The colder the wetter the rainier & more snowy the better in my opinion. Im not looking for too podunk or rural of an area but 10-20 mins into town wouldnt harm a tick on a dogs behind much at all

If you want to remain in AZ, how about Prescott? That area doesn't get the 'extreme' cold/hot weather conditions such as Phx or Flag.

Not sure about your job situation though and if Prescott would be able to offer employment.

Try Payson, Pine or Strawberry. There only 1 1/2 hrs from the valley. That way when Jamies Irish blood starts missing the heat she can take a quick trip down to the valley. lol

Very true! Don't those particular areas get quite a bit of snow each year?

They get a small amount of snow each year but.........where the heck is a person going to find a job in Strawberry or Pine. Payson has a few banks but other than that you'd have to work at a cafe or gas station which probably pay peanuts.
