cheer up. nobody's out to get you all --- 121804 and tarastomgirl

Hey he simply pointed out that 80 degrees is an exaggeration in Florida.. I provided numbers to show its not. Not everywhere in Florida has the cool downs that people talk about. Some places are quite literally hot year round.

It's hard to beat the scenery & weather in the fall in the midwest & NE as much as it is hard to beat the weather in Florida during Feb/March.

backtofla--just never move to SW FL. There are better parts of FL

summer is the worst by far. you cant do anything wihtout getting sweaty almost immediately.

after a few years of being here i can see why the florida wardrobe consists of a bunch of cheap t shirts, cargo shorts and flip flops. too damn hot for anything else!.

i make it a point to go out alot during the few weeks its actualy cool here. being able to wear my northface jacket puts a smile on my face.

Most of Florida really only has two seasons: hot and wet, and cooler and dry. There are no really seperate seasons here.

I like the cool/dry season better. When it's 40-50 degrees out in the morning and morning just hour is over, that's the perfect time to go motorcycle riding.

I checked Wunderground, and last Christmas in Jacksonville it reached 73 with 90% humidity. And I thought, you know, it always seemed so much cooler during the holidays when I was a kid.. maybe I was just imagining that? Nope. Checked December 25 1996, and the high was 55 that day! Isn't that something? I guess global warming IS just liberal propaganda, hey?!

Back on topic: Summer is infernal, but that is too be expected. It's the stinking hot Septembers, Octobers, and only mildly cooler Novembers and Decembers which bring my state of melancholy to astronomical levels. We spent a portion of last fall (two days, yay) in the OldSmokeyMountains, and THAT was a small piece of heaven.

You know you're from Florida when:
You know all four seasons: Almost summer, summer, still summer, and Christmas (which still feels like summer).
