Wow. I didn't think it was possible, but at this point I think I'd rather hang out with an unemployed illegal immigrant on drugs and foodstamps than be forced to spend an hour in a room with miserable City-Data Florida malcontents.

The illegal immigrant junkie would appear to have a better grip on reality and a more positive outlook on life, and would be infinitely more interesting to be around.

Maybe not the junkie or illegal, but I have spent time talking to immigrants (Broken English/Broken Spanish), but at least they talk about real world things; NOT how wonderful and glorious the Florida WEATHER is from starry eyed transplants and snowbirds. Anyway, the immigrants here are from other hot weather countries and could care less about wonderful Florida weather is. In fact, you won't find THEM out there soaking up the hot sun like a snowbird or tourist. They actually coverup when in the sunshine and have complimented me on doing the same. I actually get along very well with them. More so those from my own state, who live here now.

Junkies have a better grip on reality?

From the limited evidence presented here on CD, yes, I would say so.

Or, at least their fixation (the next hit) is something due to a chemical dependence, rather than fixation of malcontents (their own misery and how Florida is the root cause), which would appear to be caused by chemical imbalance.

Nope, I say it when I'm outside, too. And I walk a mile and a half to work, too. I don't see what is so inconceivable about the fact that some people truly enjoy hot weather.

Maybe they're acclimating themselves for some truly hot weather in the afterlife ?

That's nothing. I walk 10 miles to work in the hot summer sun. My job is easy. I just had to memorize "hi, welcome to *&^mart". Just kidding.
