There are also a number moving out, actually the population gain can be found on the internet from year to year. The largest growth was years ago, 50's - 60's then steady increase and some years hardly any increase. The net gain is not 300k a year. This is just a guess but Florida ranks high as a transient population. I don't know about you but when people told me they need a new start or change in their life the two states almost always mentioned are California and Florida

Also a lot of folks die in FL. There are many elderly folks in FL and humans don't live forever.

You say its been 30 years since you were last in Florida ,so how do you gather your information? Most of those I have heard who wanted to move out , it had to do with wages..Many of those came down hearing about a cheaper COL and Fun IN The Sun 12 months a year only to find out there was no need for their job skill sets or that their job paid poorly in Fla. Duhhhh BTW Some areas are high density others are not..300,000 a year move down and if 50K move back or out and 200K DIE .. hummm
