Your knowledge seems as deep as Huffington Post’s, which means you have no knowledge, but simply regirgitate the propaganda of the anti-growth movement, which is at war with America, progress, and Capitalism.

Have you heard of Svante Arrhenius? Of course not. He is the father of global warming. He set up the theory over 100 years ago. He also won a Nobel Prize for Global Warming. He also predicted that we would run out of oil mid-20th century.

I also showed you that your math does not add up, and your links actually refute what you are trying to say. I am an environmentalist myself, but militants like you actually are doing a disservice to the cause.

.
I doubt you're smarter than Elon musk and the 97% of scientists who agree on the impact of man-made activity on global warming.

That's no way to win an argument. Let's not canonize Mr. Musk just yet. He's indeed a visionary, but he has plenty of money to waste on bad business even if much of his science appears to be sound. When his cars stop losing his investors ten thousand dollars a copy as they hit the road we can talk again.

And the "97% of scientists" you cite - what kind of science are they all trained in? What is it they "agree on" with regards to man-made activity on global warming? Does it have an effect at all, or is there a consensus of exactly what percent is based on human activity? Will the numbers on that change this year after extraordinary levels of volcanic activity? Such unscientific writing about a problem of science!

The cars do make money, but that's irrelevant to the science which is indeed sound

https://www.teslarati.com/tesla-mode...e-sandy-munro/

Teardown specialist Sandy Munro has completed his company’s analysis of the Model 3, and according to the Detroit veteran, Tesla’s compact electric car is solidly profitable. By studying the vehicle’s components, Munro estimates that Tesla would see more than 30% worth of profits from the Long Range RWD version of the vehicle.

The moment you hear "consensus," "settled" etc in the same sentence as the science -- BS meter spikes off the charts, and it's no longer science.

You know that Tesla is in its last breath, don't you? Just like Solarcity was. Dominos are already falling...

It's really interesting to me that anyone disagrees about Florida (and many other places) suffering environmental degradation.

Pardon the expression, but you'd have to be ignorant not to see the very basics. No need to discuss whether a Tesla makes money. No need. We already killed millions with smog....and we made vehicles 50X cleaner in an attempt to help it...and it did help it. But that's not the end game.

Let's simplify this.

If 100,000 of us decide to live in a 10 mile square area - and we decide that we want to poop on the ground, have lots of cattle and horses and chickens doing the same, and we all want to burn bonfires each night too. We want to mod our cars and trucks to be as loud as possible and spew those giant clouds of black smoke...because, you know, it's cool. We want yachts...lots of them...with big engines. So we need to put some oil wells in and a small refinery. Oh, we need to build those yachts, so we need thousands of solvents, chemicals, etc. to make them with. Lots of other stuff needed also, as our lifestyle is very important.

A nice creek runs through this 10x10 mile city we have built - it's paradise in Florida!

Should we drink the water from that river? Is this city going to be a nice place to live?

Of course not! Those of you who have blinders on about Florida are akin to this little tale. You are pretending that all this "stuff" comes from somewhere else and all the "stuff" like your own poop and the cattle poop and the car exhaust, and the spilled gasoline, etc. etc. etc. - it all just "goes somewhere else" because - after all, the world is unlimited.

It's not.
